It's not often that your first experience with a brand both meets and exceeds your expectations. I recently moved from a temperate climate with long summers to a northern climate with a long cold season and even longer cool ones. I needed a jacket that would help me bridge the cool months until the parkas come out of the closet. The Jacket Maker were recommended to me, and the price looked entirely reasonable, so I gave them a try, hoping that the jacket ordered would be at least close to the one I pictured in my mind. It was as promised and more. The brown suede is plush and of a deeper colour than the pictures do justice to. The faux fur is warm and comfortable against the skin, and it doesn't shed at all. The stitching is tight and clean throughout, and the buttons are sturdy. The interior pockets (one on each side of the chest) are nicely executed and a great touch. Finally, and most importantly, the fit is perfect. I'm a very tall man with impossibly long arms that even custom makers struggle with. This jacket touches my wrists at just the right place, and it fits snugly across my chest and shoulders when buttoned. If you're tough to fit perfectly, Jacket Maker can be trusted to get your measurements right. A great piece from a maker I'll definitely order from again.
